MEET THE OWNERS

With nearly 15 years of training in Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Ryan Jarreau has successfully trained and competed in tournaments throughout his time on the mats. He has succeeded in earning multiple tournament medals, including: (4) gold, (2) silver, and (1) bronze. Jui-jitsu has taught Ryan how to overcome obstacles in life, which he pays forward by teaching his students that walk onto the mat with him. Ryan's parent’s, Al and Susan Jarreau, have hugely motivated him over the course of his life, instilling confidence and belief in his ability to inspire others through the passion of jiu-jitsu.

Ryan has been coaching for over 11 years and encourages his students to step outside their comfort zone and become the best version of themselves through the challenges of martial arts training. He believes that BJJ is not just an ordinary sport, but rather a game of chess: your mind and body both focused and exercised. Ryan whole-heartedly believes that every student is unique and he customizes his technique to best suit the individual's needs. This results in an efficient style of training to meet the student's mental and physical goals. All of this is done in an environment that is fun, productive, and safe. Abel Fernandez is a local resident originally from Cuba who came to Texas over 10 years ago. His Jiu-jitsu journey started in 2019 when he enrolled his 9 year old daughter into the sport. It didn't take him long to put on his own Gi and start his journey on the mats.

Today, Jiu-jitsu has become of his biggest passions as he continues supporting his daughter's journey into the sport, as well as competing. Abel's main goal is to motivate more parents to train and share the mats with their children, promoting fitness, health, and family bonding.
